Hello… is it us you’re looking for…

Birds are singing, the Sun is shining (somewhere, we’re sure), and love is in the air as we approach Valentine’s Day, and we want to show our love for our devoted customers, fans and casual blog followers – so we’re holding a competition, and giving away a simply divine bistro set, the Allibert Atlanta Balcony Bistro Set (available in brown or graphite), worth £249.99, a set of rattan chairs with a coffee table, the perfect addition to your conservatory, patio, balcony, or anywhere else romantic you can think of…

…because that’s just what our competition is all about! All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is tell us where your perfect Valentine’s getaway would take you. We’ll be giving the bistro set to whoever can give us the most inspiring, romantic and charming idea, so let us know where you’d love to take your partner on an enchanting trip, and you might just bring the dream home, so you can sit yourself down, get a bottle of bubbly and share a lovely evening with someone special.

Competition rules… baby

My perfect getaway would be to a small cottage in the middle of the countryside where you get absolutely no phone signal, and we can sit in front of an open fire whilst sharing a good bottle of wine and each others company, followed the next day with a fully cooked breakfast and a hike up the hills to blow away the cobwebs – bliss!!

The most romantic place me and my other half love is Parliament Hill, North London, we take a picnic up there, and on a lovely clear day, you can look down, and see the whole of the beauty of London, it’s surprisingly quiet, and we’ve spent wonderful times there!

Our honeymoon was spent on the first night in the Grand Hotel, Glasgow. It would be lovely to go back there.

I would love to take my husband back to Scarborough where we spent our honeymoon, hopefully for a better honeymoon. Before we left home in Aberdeenshire,my mother told us to rub baby oil over our bodies for protecting us while sunbathing.Being young and naive,we did as she said and ended up like stick men.We were so burned, the oil was bubbling on our bodies,we could hardly get out of bed.Needless to say a very spoiled honeymoon but we get lots of laughs about it now having been married for 35 years now.

My partner Rob has taught me that it doesn’t matter if I wear make up… or even what I wear!
He loves me no matter what.
But of course I love to make an effort and show him that I can be the best, sexiest and happiest version of myself because he makes me FEEL it!

So my ideal Valentine’s getaway would be to the Isle of Skye. We could go hiking during the day and he could enjoy my windswept red cheeked look. Then come evening I will admire his gorgeous smile in a suit and throw on a dress… and we’d share one of our favourite things: food.
A Michelin starred restaurant with champagne, yes please!
